Organisation and acknowledgements
The Cycling and Society Symposium 2026 was organised by Annika Otto, Alexander Paulsson, Jens Alm and Till Koglin, with support from the Cycling and Society Symposium Support Committee. We are particularly grateful to Nick Davies, Graeme Sherriff, Vera Diogo and James Bonner who shared their knowledge and experience from organising previous editions of the symposium. We also thank the Limerick team for engaging in the preparations for this year’s symposium and facilitate a smooth transition to next year’s symposium.

The 2026 symposium is organised together by Lund University and the Swedish National Road & Transport Research Institute (VTI). The 2026 symposium has received funding from City of Lund and the Swedish Knowledge Centre for Collective Mobility.
